Object history
Deutsch: Nachdem von 1299 an zunächst das Bild eines Bischofs - wohl des Kirchenpatrons St. Martin -, seit der Mitte des 14. Jahrhunderts aber das Mainzer Rad als Herrschaftszeichen und 1803 bis 1806 die leiningenschen Adler neben den drei Großbuchstaben К in den Stadtsiegeln zu sehen gewesen sind, erscheint dort seit etwa 1836 ein Brunnen als Hinweis auf die „Brunnenstadt" Külsheim. Auf Wunsch der Stadt wurde diese Figur bei der vom Generallandesarchiv Karlsruhe im Jahr 1898 vorgenommenen Uberprüfung, Neugestaltung und farblichen Festlegung des Wappens beibehalten. Die Flagge wurde am 16. September 1980 vom Landratsamt verliehen.
