Object history |
Deutsch: Die heutige Gemeinde Seckach besteht nach Vereinigung von Großeicholzheim, Seckach und Zimmern seit 1972. Das Wappen und die Flagge wurden am 27. Januar 1977 vom Landratsamt Neckar-Odenwald-Kreis verliehen. Die Wappenbilder weisen auf den früheren Ortsadel und die Territorialherrschaft vor 1802 hin. Das Steinbockshorn ist das Wappen der Herren von Seckach, die in Seckach im 13. und 14. Jahrhundert nachweisbar sind. Das Streitbeil ist dem Wappen der Herren von Stetten entnommen, die den Zehnten in Zimmern besaßen. Das fünfspeichige Rad greift das Wappen der mit den Herren von Berlichingen verwandten jüngeren Familie von Eicholzheim auf, während seine Tingierung an das Erzstift Mainz erinnern soll, dem Seckach und Zimmern seit dem späten Mittelalter angehört hatten. |
