Object history
Deutsch: Das nach Eingliederung von Neulautern am 1. Januar 1974 aus einer Vereinigung der früheren Gemeinden Finsterrot, Maienfels, Neuhütten und Wüstenrot hervorgegangene neue Gemeinwesen nahm auf Vorschlag des Hauptstaatsarchivs Stuttgart ein Wappen an, dessen obere, nach einem bei Neuhütten gefundenen alten Glasgefäß gezeichnete Figur an die verschiedenen ehemaligen Glashütten des Gebiets erinnert, während der Fisch im Wellenbalken auf die Lage der Gemeindeteile im Einzugsbereich der Rot, Lauter und Brettach hinweisen soll. Das Wappen und die Flagge wurden vom Innenministerium am 17. März 1975 verliehen.
