Italiano: L’arma vuol ricordare i Santi Rocco e Sebastiano, protettori della Parrocchia, simboleggiati dalla freccia di S. Sebastiano e il bastone di S. Rocco. La disposizione dei colori, l’uno nell’altro, allude al passaggio da una stagione all’altra, richiamando così la probabile derivazione del nome Vernate da «svernare». In realtà, però, non è così, come cerchiamo di spiegare in questo dossier su Vernate. Il sigillo della Parrocchia porta le effigi dei Santi Rocco e Sebastiano.
