Italiano: Dal 2010, i nove comuni di Caviano, Contone, Gerra (Gambarogno), Indemini, Magadino, Piazzogna, San Nazzaro, Sant'Abbbondio e Vira (Gambarogno) sono riuniti sotto il nuovo nome di Gambarogno. La regione, situata sulla sponda nord-orientale del Lago Maggiore, prende il nome dal Monte Gambarogno, che si erge a 1.739 metri nell'entroterra. Lo stemma mostra quindi la situazione topografica vista dalla sponda superiore del lago. Nonostante la rappresentazione molto astratta, lo stemma non soddisfa le regole araldiche e non può essere descritto in termini tecnici.
Deutsch: Seit dem Jahr 2010 sind die neun Gemeinden Caviano, Contone, Gerra (Gambarogno), Indemini, Magadino, Piazzogna, San Nazzaro, Sant'Abbbondio und Vira (Gambarogno) unter dem neuen Namen Gambarogno vereinigt. Benannt ist die Region am Nordostufer des Lago Maggiore nach dem Monte Gambarogno, der im Hinterland bis 1‘739 m aufragt. Das Wappen zeigt somit die topographische Situation, vom oberen Seeufer aus gesehen. Trotz der stark abstrahierten Darstellung wird das Wappen den heraldischen Regeln nicht gerecht und lässt sich in der Fachsprache kaum beschreiben.
English: Since 2010, the nine municipalities of Caviano, Contone, Gerra (Gambarogno), Indemini, Magadino, Piazzogna, San Nazzaro, Sant'Abbbondio and Vira (Gambarogno) have been united under the new name of Gambarogno. The region on the north-eastern shore of Lake Maggiore is named after Monte Gambarogno, which rises to 1,739 metres in the hinterland. The coat of arms thus shows the topographical situation as seen from the upper shore of the lake. Despite the highly abstract depiction, the coat of arms does not fulfil the heraldic rules and can hardly be described in technical terms.
