Deutsch: Das Oberdorfer Wappen widerspiegelt die Zusammensetzung der Gemeinde aus den drei Teilen Waltersberg, Büren und Oberdorf. Der weisse Turm, der grüne Sechsberg und das rote Eichhörnchen sind Wappenbilder von Rittern des 14. und 15. Jahrhunderts aus diesen drei Ortsteilen: Der Turm stammt aus dem Wappen der Ritter von Büren, der Sechsberg oben in der Mitte von den Rittern von Waltersberg und das Eichhörnchen von den Rittern von Aa, deren Burgstelle im Gebiet Oberdorf westlich des Aawassers vermutet wurde.
