„Gespalten von Blau und Rot durch eine eingebogene goldene Spitze, darin ein schwarzes Keilerhaupt; rechts in blau eine goldfarbene Waage; links in rot eine silberfarbene Darstellung des heiligen Jakobus des Älteren – Brustbild mit Evangeliar -.“[1]

„Die Flagge ist im Verhältnis 1:3:1 Rot-Gelb-Rot waagerecht geteilt belegt mit dem Wappen in der Mitte.“
Genehmigt durch den Landkreis Emsland am 11. November 1983.
