Deutsch: Die Kreisstadt Bergheim führt ein Wappen, ein Siegel und eine Flagge (Banner und Hissflagge).Die Abdrucke und die Beschreibungen sind als Anlage 2 - 5 der Hauptsatzung beigefügt. „In Blau eine gezinnte silberne (weiße) Ringmauer, mit je einem Zinnenturm mit zwei schwarzen Fensteröffnungen an den Flanken, unten und oben je eine dreizinnig überbrückte Toröffnung mit schwarzem Fallgatter; darin ein goldener (gelber) Schild mit einem schwarzen, steigenden rotbewehrten und -bezungten Löwen.“ Das Stadtwappen hat seinen Ursprung in einem Schöffensiegel aus dem 14. Jahrhundert. Es zeigt die Stadtmauer mit Türmen und Toren der alten Stadt, die seit 1317 Stadtrechte besitzt. Der schwarze Löwe steht für die frühere Zugehörigkeit zum Herzogtum Jülich.
English: „The arms have been used since the last century and were officially granted in 1961 and continued in 1976. The arms are based on the oldest seal of the city, which dates from the early 14th century. The second seal shows the same composition, with two letters B, one on each side of the small shield with the lion of Jülich. The Counts, later Dukes, of Jülich owned the city for a long time and granted the city rights in 1317.“
