Description
English: Pyrometer. 040824-N-1485H-004 Pacific Ocean (Aug. 24, 2004) - Fireman Jason Ormand of Yukon, Okla., checks the temperature of a ventilation system while conducting a routine trouble call aboard the aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63). Ormand, who is assigned to the air conditioning and repair shop helps maintain eight air conditioning machinery spaces. Kitty Hawk is currently under way in the 7th Fleet area of responsibility (AOR) as the ship demonstrates power projection and sea control as the world's only permanently forward-deployed aircraft carrier, operating from Yokosuka, Japan.
