Object history
Deutsch: Von der Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts an hatten die städtischen Dienstsiegel nachweislich ein Stempelbild enthalten, das ein Haus auf einem Berg zeigte. Das Wappen der ausgestorbenen Herren von Vellberg mit dem Adlerflügel und dem Obereck wurde der Stadt am 28. Oktober 1936 durch den damaligen Reichsstatthalter in Württemberg verliehen. Die Flaggenverleihung erfolgte am 6. Dezember 1954 durch die Landesregierung.
