Italiano: Nel 2006, i cinque comuni di Aquila, Campo (Blenio), Ghirone, Olivone e Torre si sono fusi sotto il nuovo nome di Blenio. Lo stemma utilizzato dal Comune non ha nulla a che vedere con l'araldica. È una rappresentazione topografica del fiume Brenno, che attraversa il comune. I cerchi gialli indicano le posizioni dei cinque villaggi, che in precedenza erano comuni indipendenti.
Deutsch: Im Jahr 2006 vereinigten sich die fünf Gemeinden Aquila, Campo (Blenio), Ghirone, Olivone und Torre unter dem neuen Namen Blenio. Das von der Gemeinde geführte Wappen hat mit Heraldik nichts zu tun. Es ist eine topographische Darstellung des Flusses Brenno, der die Gemeinde durchfliesst. Die gelben Kreisflächen markieren die Positionen der fünf Dörfer, die vorher selbstständige Gemeinden waren.
