Object history
Deutsch: Büsingen ist eine Exklave der Bundesrepublik Deutschland im Schweizer Kanton Schaffhausen. Das älteste, im Jahr 1811 verwendete Siegel zeigt ein von Zweigen umgebenes Rebmesser. Die folgenden Siegel enthalten allgemeine Ornamente ohne charakteristischen Bezug zum Ort: Um 1830 verwendete die Gemeinde ein Siegel, das über dem badischen Wappenschild zwei gekreuzte Garben, dahinter eine Sense, eine Heugabel und einen Rechen zeigt. Später sind Farbstempel mit gekreuzten Palmzweigen nachweisbar. Das heute gültige Wappen wurde auf Vorschlag des Generallandesarchivs am 3. März 1904 angenommen. Die Traube steht für den einst bedeutsameren Weinbau im Ort, die rote Schildumrandung soll die Insellage der Gemeinde in schweizerischem Gebiet symbolisieren. Die Flagge wurde am 18. April 1990 vom Landratsamt Konstanz verliehen.
