| Description |
English: In time for Halloween: a spectacular orb weaver (spider) visited my pantry. The spider was hanging upside down from a pane of a louvered window when I grabbed the nearest camera: a very inexpensive Nikon L18 point and shoot. One has to credit Nikon for an excellent macro function even on this low end camera. In this image, the cephalothorax detail is lost to depth of field but the spinnerets are clearly visible. |
