Description
Deutsch: Das Werksgelände der BASF in Ludwigshafen, der größte zusammenhängende Chemiestandort der Welt. Das Bild wurde von einem Tragschrauber aufgenommen und zeigt das Gelände in Nord-Süd-Richtung, ausgehend vom Landeshafen Nord (untere Bildmitte). Östlich des Rheins (im Bild links) liegt die Friesenheimer Insel. Dort befindet sich – neben anderen Unternehmen – auch noch ein BASF-Werk.
English: The BASF site in Ludwigshafen, the largest contiguous chemical site in the world. The picture was taken from a gyrocopter and shows the site in a north-south direction, starting from Landeshafen Nord (lower centre). East of the Rhine (left in the picture) is Friesenheim Island. There, among other companies, is also a BASF plant.
