AWM Caption: Sydney, NSW. 1916-12-05. Starboard side view of the cruiser HMAS Brisbane (I) moored in Farm Cove shortly after completion. HMAS Brisbane was built at the Commonwealth Naval Dockyard at Cockatoo Island, and was the only cruiser constructed in Australia. The original photograph is a hand coloured version of 300453. A black and white version is held at P01886.002. (Original print housed in Australian War Memorial Archive Store.) (Donor F. O. Bloxham)
