Object history
Deutsch: Wernersberg gehörte ursprünglich den Herren von Dahn als Inhaber des alten Reichslehens Geisburg, der späteren Herrschaft Burrweiler. Mit dieser gelangte der Ort an von der Leyen. Beider Herrschaften Wappen werden durch das Gemarkungszeichen in Form eines gestürzten Y, den sogenannten Hühnerfuß, getrennt, der 1777 als Wernersberger Dorfzeichen benannt wird. Das seit 1748 belegte Gerichtssiegel zeigt die bekrönte Initiale W.
