DescriptionDigital camera image sensor.jpg |
The business end of a digital camera - the image sensor. Even if I manage to fix the lens barrel and get the camera back together without scratching the sensor or getting my greasy fingers all over it, it will still be gathering image degrading dust the whole time in malevolent silence. Just to add to the degree of difficulty, there was a little black frame-like thing sitting atop the sensor. I assume that it is a baffle to stop light leaking onto the sensor. Whatever it is, it fell off. You can see it at the bottom of the photo.3 megapixels. Count them yourself |
