Object history
Deutsch: Das Posthorn ist ein heraldisches Kommunikationssymbol und steht im Gemeindewappen für die von 1964 bis 2005 von der Deutschen Post bzw. der Deutschen Telekom betriebene Erdfunkstelle, die im interkontinentalen System der Datenübermittlung über Satelliten wichtige Funktionen erfüllte und mit ihren großen Parabolantennen noch immer die Gegend südlich von Raisting prägt. Der Abtstab gilt als Attribut des heiligen Remigius und versinnbildlicht das Patrozinium der Pfarrkirche von Raisting. Die Feldfarben Blau und Gold entsprechen den Wappenfarben des benachbarten Augustinerchorherrenstiftes Dießen, dem seit 1453 die Remigius-Kirche inkorporiert war. Das Kloster war von 1642 bis zur Säkularisation 1803 auch als Hofmarksherrschaft mit der Gemeinde eng verbunden.
