Source Originally from it.wikipedia; description page is/was here. The representation is an illustration of the divisional arm shield as shown on p. 139 of John Keegan's Waffen SS: The Asphalt Soldiers published by Pan/Ballantine in 1970, except that the black and white elements are reversed.
