For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme. Das Kraftwerk Oberschlesien in Bobrek bei Beuthen O/S. Mit der Elektrischen fährt man in etwa 20 Minuten von Beuthen nach Bobrek. Das Gesicht diese arbeitsamen Industrieortes ist durch die "Julienhütte" und durch das Kraftwerk Oberschlesien bestimmt. In Oberschlesien kam bekanntlich die 1. Dampfmaschine zum Einsatz und zur Entwicklung. Deutsche Fachleute haben in jahrhundertelanger zäher Arbeit das oberschlesische Industriegebiet erschlossen und zu hoher Blüte gebracht. |
