Iain Criathrar

Rugadh Iain Criathrar (John Crerar) ann an 1750 ann an Dùn Chaillinn, Siorrachd Pheairt. B' e fìdhlear a bh' ann an Iain, air a theagasg le Niall Gobha (Beurla: Niel Gow), agus sgrìobh e iomadh phort a tha air a' chluich fhathast san latha an-diugh. Ach cha b’ e ceòl an obair beatha aige. B' e geamair agus stalcair a bh' ann airson an ceathramh Moireach fad còrr is 50 bliadhna agus chaidh ainmeachadh ann an litreachais mar sàr eòlaiche na h-obrach aige. Chaochail Iain ann an 1840 aig aois 90 bliadhna agus tha an clach-cuinneachaidh aige ri fhaicinn fhathast sa chladh aig Eaglais Dubhailigh.
