The Frames
Is banna ceoil Éireannach iad The Frames. Tá siad lonnaithe an chuid is mó den am i mBaile Átha Cliath. Ag tús na bliana 2006 b'iad Glen Hansard (giotár, guth), Joe Doyle (dordghiotár, guth), Colm Mac Con Iomaire (veidhlín, méarchlár, guth) agus Rob Bochnik (giotár, guth) agus Johnny Boyle (drumaí) an cúigear ceoltóirí sa bhanna seo. Níl drumadóir stiúideo ar leith acu agus is é an nós atá acu ná go seinneann daoine éagsúla na drumaí ar a gcuid dlúthdhioscaí. Bhain siad úsáid as an ainm The Frames DC don albam Fitzcarraldo (an dá leagain) i 1995/1996 ionas nach dtagadh siad salach ar bhanna ceoil eile a bhí an t-ainm céanna acu i Meiriceá.

Bunaíodh an banna sa bhliain 1990 tráth a raibh cultúr láidir rac-cheoil i mBaile Átha Cliath ag tús na 90í. Bhí an baill an bhanna cairdiúil le baill de Kíla agus na Mary janes. Chuaigh siad ar chamcuairt le Damien Rice, le Josh Ritter agus le Bell X1, agus móráin daoine eile.
Deirtear go dtagann an t-ainm The Frames ón gceird ar chleacht Hansard nuair a bhí sé níos óige - deisiúcháin rothar a chuid cairde. Is cosúil go mbíodh an ghairdín aige lán go dorais le framaí rothar agus mar sin, thug na comharsana a bhí aige an t-ainm "teach na bhFramaí" air.
Tá Gaeilge líofa ag Colm Mac Con Iomaire agus tá focail an amhráin Locusts i nGaeilge le fáil ar shuíomh idirlín an bhanna faoin ainm "Locaistí" Curtha i gcartlann 2006-02-14 ar an Wayback Machine. Bhí Lócaistí ar an dlúthdhiosca SnaG 05, agus thug na Frames amhrán eile, Pian agus Ciúnas, do dhlúthdhiosca Seachtain na Gaeilge 2006, Ceol '06.
