Shinedown

Shinedown on amerikkalainen rock-yhtye. Sen perustivat Brent Smith, Brad Stewart, Jasin Todd ja Barry Kerch Floridassa vuonna 2001. Shinedown on julkaissut kuusi studioalbumia, ja yhtyeen levyjä on myyty yli kuusi miljoonaa kappaletta maailmanlaajuisesti.

Historia

Laulaja Brent Smithin aikaisempi yhtye oli tehnyt Atlantic Recordsin kanssa levytyssopimuksen. Yhtiö halusi kuitenkin erottaa yhtyeen muut jäsenet ja jatkaa yhteistyötä pelkästään Brent Smithin kanssa. Laulaja keräsikin levy-yhtiön avustamana ympärilleen uuden yhtyeen.

Shinedown julkaisi ensimmäisen levynsä Leave A Whisperin vuonna 2003, ja se on myynyt Yhdysvalloissa platinaa. Toinen levy Us And Them sekä 2008 julkaistu The Sound Of Madness -albumi nostivat yhtyeen suosiota. Kolmas levy The Sound Of Madness nousi ilmestyessään Billboard-listan sijalle kahdeksan. Shinedownin versio kappaleesta "Simple Man" on omistettu Panteran entiselle kitaristille Dimebag Darrelille.

Vuonna 2011 Shinedown julkaisi livealbumin, "Somewhere in the Stratosphere", jossa on neljä levyä (2 CD + 2 DVD), jotka sisältävät yli 30 kappaletta.

Yhtye julkaisi vuonna 2012 albumin nimeltä "Amaryllis".

Yhtye julkaisi viidennen albuminsa Threat to Survial 18. syyskuuta 2015.

Yhtye julkaisi kuudennen albuminsa Attention Attention 4. toukokuuta 2018.
