Nicholas Rescher

Nicholas Rescher (s. 15. heinäkuuta 1928 Hagen, Saksa) on yhdysvaltalainen filosofi, joka on toiminut pitkään Pittsburghin yliopistossa. Hän on nykyään yliopiston filosofian professori ja tieteenfilosofiaan keskittyneen Center for the Philosophy of Science -tutkimuskeskuksen johtaja.

Rescher väitteli tohtoriksi Princetonin yliopistosta vuonna 1951 22-vuotiaana, laitoksen tuohonastisen historian nuorimpana. Hän on kirjoittanut noin 100 kirjaa ja 400 artikkelia monilta filosofian alueilta, mukaan lukien logiikka, tietoteoria, tieteenfilosofia, metafysiikka ja arvoteoria. Hänet tunnetaan ennen kaikkea pragmatismin ja viime aikoina prosessifilosofian puolestapuhujana.
