Mortimer Adler
Mortimer Jerome Adler (28. joulukuuta 1902 – 28. kesäkuuta 2001) oli yhdysvaltalainen aristoteelinen filosofi ja kirjailija. Hän työskenteli filosofian popularisoimiseksi.

Adler oli kotoisin New Yorkista. Hän opiskeli Columbian yliopistossa ja työskenteli Chicagon yliopistossa. Chicagossa hän perusti yhdessä Robert Hutchinsin kanssa Great Books of the Western World -ohjelman ja Great Books Foundationin, sekä Max Weismannin kanssa The Center for the Study of The Great Ideas -keskuksen. Adler perusti myös Institute for Philosophical Researchin vuonna 1952, toimi Encyclopædia Britannican toimittajana vuodesta 1949 sekä johti sen toimitustyötä vuodesta 1974.
