Joss Whedonin filmografia

Joss Whedon (s. 1964) on yhdysvaltalainen käsikirjoittaja, ohjaaja ja tuottaja. Hän on Mutant Enemy Productions -tuotantoyhtiön perustaja ja yksi Bellwether Pictures -tuotantoyhtiön perustajista. Hänet tunnetaan parhaiten luomistaan televisiosarjoista Buffy, vampyyrintappaja (1997–2003), Angel (1999–2004), Firefly (2002), Dollhouse (2009–2010) ja S.H.I.E.L.D. Agentit (2013–). Lisäksi Whedon on ollut mukana käsikirjoittamassa elokuvaa Toy Story – leluelämää (1995), josta hän sai jaetun Oscar-ehdokkuuden parhaasta alkuperäisestä käsikirjoituksesta, ohjannut ja käsikirjoittanut elokuvan Serenity (2005), käsikirjoittanut ja tuottanut elokuvan The Cabin in the Woods (2012) sekä ohjannut ja käsikirjoittanut elokuvat The Avengers (2012) ja Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015).

Huomioita
  1. Whedon kirjoitti paljon Speedin dialogia uusiksi, ja muutti Keanu Reevesin esittämän päähenkilön luonteen ”muista riippumattomasta rämäpäästä kohteliaaksi poliisiksi, joka yrittää pitää kaikki hengissä”. Whedon vaati nimeään elokuvan lopputeksteihin, mutta sen alkuperäinen käsikirjoittaja, Graham Yost, halusi ehdoin tahdoin olla ainoa tunnustettava. Writers Guild of America ratkaisi jutun Yostin hyväksi ja Whedon jäi ilman tunnustusta.[3]
