Insomniac on luonut Spyro- ja Ratchet & Clank -pelisarjat sekä Resistance -pelisarjan. Yhtiö teki Spyro-sarjan kolme ensimmäistä osaa, minkä jälkeen pelisarjan kehityksestä ovat vastanneet muut tahot.

Elokuussa 2019 Sony ilmoitti ostaneensa Insomniac Gamesin.[1]
