Errol Harris

Errol Eustace Harris (19. helmikuuta 1908 Kimberley, Etelä-Afrikka – 21. kesäkuuta 2009[1]) oli eteläafrikkalaissyntyinen filosofi, joka vaikutti etupäässä Yhdysvalloissa. Hän käsitteli ennen kaikkea logiikkaa, metafysiikkaa ja tietoteoriaa, ja pyrki muodostamaan näistä järjestelmällisen ja yhtenäisen esityksen kuvatakseen nykyistä maailmankäsitystä.

Errol Harris suunnilleen vuonna 1976.

Harris luennoi Yalen yliopistossa ja Connecticut Collegessa sekä toimi Edinburghin yliopiston virkaa tekevänä logiikan ja metafysiikan professorina, Kansasin yliopiston Roy Roberts -oppituolin filosofian professorina ja Northwestern Universityn filosofian professorina, myöhemmin John Evans -oppituolin filosofian professorina. Jäätyään eläkkeelle hän toimi vierailevana professorina useissa yliopistoissa.
