Boysenmarja

Boysenmarja on vadelman (Rubus idaeus), karhunvatukan (Rubus fruticosus) ja näiden risteytymän (Rubus × loganobaccus) risteytys.[1] Boysenmarjojen tärkeimmät tuotantoalueet ovat Yhdysvaltain länsirannikolla, Chilessä ja Uudessa-Seelannissa.

Boysenmarjoja

Boysenmarjan löysi United States Department of Agriculturen George M. Darrow Rudolph Boysen -nimisen miehen entiseltä tilalta Pohjois-Kaliforniassa 1920-luvun lopulla. Rudolph Boysen oli tuottanut kahden eri kasvilajin risteymän.[2]
