Myrmecolacidae intsektu familia bat da Strepsiptera ordenan. Familia honek 4 genero eta 98 espezie ditu. Espezie hauek garapen modu bat dute bizkarroi gisa, non arrek inurriak parasitatzen dituzten, emeak Orthoptera barruan garatzen diren bitartean. Sexuen morfologia desberdina da, eta horrek asko zailtzen du emeak museoetan katalogatutako arren espezieekin lotzea.[1][2]
