Otto KANDLER (23a de Oktobro 1920, Deggendorf - 29a de Aŭgusto 2017, Munkeno, Bavario[1][2]) estis germana botanikisto kaj mikrobiologo. Ĝis sia retiriĝo en 1986 li estis profesoro de botaniko ĉe la Munkena universitato.[3]
Otto Kandler estis tre interesita en plantokresko, fotosintezo, metabolo, ĉefe de karbonhidratoj. Sed eble li estas plej bone konata pro la malkovro de la arkeoj.
