La Konstitucio de Barato estas la suprega leĝo de Barato. Krom la angla traduko estas oficiala versio en la hindia lingvo. La politikisto Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar estis konsiderata la ĉefa arkitekto de la Barata konstitucio. La Konstitucio estis aprobita la 26-an de novembro 1949 fare de la Konstitucifara Asembleo de Hindio.
La Konstitucio de Barato estas la plej longa skriba konstitucio de iu suverena lando en la mondo,[1] enhavanta 444 artikolojn en 22 partoj,[2][3] 12 kalendartabelojn kaj 118 amendojn, kun 117,369 vortoj en sia angla-lingva traduko.[4]
En ĝi oni klarigas pri la kreo kaj funkciado de la Registaro de Barato.
