Turin Brakes ist ein modernes Folk-Pop-Duo; bestehend aus den zwei Freunden Olly Knights und Gale Paridjanian. Beide stammen aus Balham, London.

Ihr erstes Album „The Optimist LP“ erhielt sehr viel Anerkennung und wurde für den Mercury Music Prize nominiert.
