Geographie
Die Kleinstadt Raucoules liegt im Velay, einer Landschaft im Zentralmassiv am Fluss Dunières, der die nördliche Gemeindegrenze bildet, etwa 22 Kilometer ostnordöstlich von Yssingeaux. Raucoules wird umgeben von den Nachbargemeinden Saint-Pal-de-Mons im Norden, Dunières im Nordosten, Montfaucon-en-Velay im Osten, Montregard im Südosten sowie Lapte im Süden und Westen.
