কুম্ভি
কুম্ভি (ইংরেজি: Slow Match Tree), (হিন্দি: कुंबी), (বৈজ্ঞানিক নাম:Careya arborea) হচ্ছে লিসিথিডাসি পরিবারের একটি উদ্ভিদ প্রজাতি, যেটি ভারতীয় উপমহাদেশ, আফগানিস্তান এবং ইন্দোচীনের স্থানীয় উদ্ভিদ।[2] বাংলাদেশের ২০১২ সালের বন্যপ্রাণী (সংরক্ষণ ও নিরাপত্তা) আইনের তফসিল-৪ অনুযায়ী এ প্রজাতিটি সংরক্ষিত।[4]

বিবরণ
কুম্ভি মধ্যম আকৃতির গাছ। এটি প্রচুর ডালপালা বিশিষ্ট পাতাঝরা গাছ। উচ্চতায় ১৫ থেকে ২০ মিটার।
বিস্তৃতি
বাংলাদেশ, ভারত, নেপাল, শ্রীলঙ্কা, পাকিস্তান, আফগানিস্তান, লাওস, মিয়ানমার, থাইল্যান্ড ও মালয়েশিয়া পর্যন্ত বিস্তৃত।
