Helena Bonham Carter, CBE^[6] (n. Londres, 26 de mayu de 1966) ye una actriz británica, ganadora del premiu BAFTA y nomada al Óscar en dos causes.

Fixo'l so debú como actriz nuna adautación pa televisión de A Pattern of Roses antes de llograr el so primer papel como protagonista en Lady Jane. Ye conocida polos sos papeles en películes como A Room With a View, Fight Club, The Wings of the Dove y The King's Speech (por estes dos últimes recibió nominaciones a los Óscar), y por interpretar a la villana Bellatrix Lestrange nes películes de Harry Potter. Tamién la conoz por participar con frecuencia nes películes del direutor Tim Burton, quien amás foi la so pareya. Biografía

Primeros años

Helena Bonham Carter vien de una familia d'altu abolengu social en Gran Bretaña, siendo'l so padre Richard, banqueru y la so madre Elena, d'orixe español, psicoterapeuta. Dambos proxenitores sufrieron diverses enfermedaes cuando Helena yera entá una adolescente, el so padre quedó paralíticu^[7] y la so madre sufrió un colapsu nerviosu. Asistió al South Hampstead School y al Westminster School.

Ye bisnieta paterna del que foi primer ministru británicu H. H. Asquith y nieta materna del diplomáticu español Eduardo Propper de Caleyón, amás de ser la sobrina nieta del direutor Anthony Asquith.

Vida personal

Foi pareya del actor y direutor Kenneth Branagh ente 1994 y 1999, y foi tamién pareya de Tim Burton, al que conoció mientres el rodaxe de Planet of the Apes (2001) y col que tien dos fíos: Billy Ray (nacíu en 2003) y Nell (nacíu en 2007). El 23 d'avientu de 2014 anunció que se dixebraba de manera amistosa con Burton.^[8]

En 2012 foi nomada Comendadora de la Orde del Imperiu Británicu.

Trayeutoria profesional

En debutando na televisión, Helena llogró l'estrellalgu a los 20 años gracies al so protagonismu en A Room With a View (1986), película debut dirixida por James Ivory, quien afaía un rellatu del escritor E. M. Forster. Darréu volvería participar en diverses adautaciones fílmicas de la obra d'esti lliteratu, como Onde los ánxeles nun s'aventuren (1991), de Charles Sturridge o Regresu a Howards End (1992), un títulu empobináu de nuevu por Ivory.
