ዘመናዊ ፍልስፍና (modern philosophy) የሚባለው የምዕራባውያን ፍልስፍና ከ17ኛው ክፍለ ዘመን ወዲህ ያለው ሲሆን፣ ይህን አዲሱን ዘመን ጀመረ ተብሎ የሚታወቀው ፈረንሳዊው ደካርት ነው።
