1°17′ ደቡብ ኬክሮስ እና 36°49′ ምሥራቅ ኬንትሮስ

የሚኖርበት የህዝብ ቁጥር የአካባቢውን ኗሪ ሲጨምር 3-4 ሚሊዮን ሆኖ ሲገመት የራሱ የከተማው ኗሪ ቁጥር ደግሞ 2,940,911 ሆኖ ይገመታል። ከተማው 01°17′ ደቡብ ኬክሮስ እና 36°49′ ምሥራቅ ኬንትሮስ ላይ ተቀምጦ ይገኛል።

በ1891 ዓ.ም. ተመሠርቶ በ1897 ዓ.ም. ዋና ከተማ ከሞምባሳ ወዲህ ተዛወረ።
