Royal Society of South Africa

Die Royal Society of South Africa is in 1877 gestig as die South African Philosophical Society en in 1899 herdoop. Die stigting se hoofkantoor is in Kaapstad. Lidmaatskap is slegs oop vir professionele wetenskaplikes van naam. Professor Paul Skelton is lid van die stigting. Ander bekende lede: Hendrik Brand, Basil Schonland en Arthur Bleksley.

Sir Henry Bartle Frere, voormalige genoot van die Royal Society of South Africa deur sir George Reid.
