Roes
Roes is 'n ysteroksied, 'n gewoonlik rooibruin oksied wat gevorm word deur die reaksie van yster en suurstof in die katalitiese teenwoordigheid van water of lugvog. Roes bestaan uit waterhoudende yster(III)oksiede (Fe2O3·nH2O) en yster(III)oksiedhidroksied (FeO(OH), Fe(OH)3), en word tipies geassosieer met die korrosie van verfynde yster.
