Ochrophyta

Ochrophyta is 'n groep van hoofsaaklik fotosintetiese heterokonte.[5][6] Hul plastides is afkomstig van rooiwiere.[7]

Die klassifikasie van die groep word nog bepaal. Sommige outeurs (bv. Cavalier-Smith) verdeel dit in twee subfilums, naamlik Phaeista (Cavalier-Smith 1995; bevat Hypogyristea en Chrysista in sommige klassifikasies) of Limnista en Marista in ander) en Khakista (Cavalier-Smith, 2000; bevat Bolidomonas en diatome).[8]
