Marôg
Marôg (ook bekend as morôgô, morôg, misbredie, en hanekam) verwys na verskeie plante in die Amaranthus genus wat in Suider-Afrika gebruik word as 'n soort spinasie.[1][2][3]
Wilde plante het ‘n belangrike deel gevorm van die dieet van die inheemse bevolking. Veral die blare van twee spesies, naamlik Amaranthus thunbergii en Amaranthus spinosus, word gekook en gee ‘n heerlike spinasie-agtige groente.[4]
