Gao
Gao (Arabies: غاو) is die grootste stad in Noord-Mali en is aan die Nigerrivier geleë. Die stad het 'n bevolking van 86 633 in 2009 gehad.[1] Vanaf 6 April 2012 tot 14 Februarie 2013 het dit as hoofstad van die voormalige omstrede gebied Azawad gedien.
