Amphicoelias
Amphicoelias (van die Griekse αμφι amphi, "aan albei kante", en κοιλος koilos, "hol", "konkaaf") is ’n genus plantvretende souropode-dinosourusse wat. Omdat dié been weggeraak het nadat dit in die 1870's bestudeer en beskryf is, is tekeninge en notas die enigste bewyse. Die fossiel is in die Morrison-formasie in Wes-VSA gevind.[1]

Die tipe-spesie van Amphicoelias, A. altus, het in 1877 sy naam gekry van die paleontoloog Edward Drinker Cope. Dit was gebaseer op ’n onvolledige skelet.[2]
