- 6 Oktober -- Lucullus verslaan Tigranes II van Armenië op opsienbarende wyse. Hy het 16 000 grondtroepe teenoor 150 000 van Triganes wat ook 55 000 ruiters het. Die Romeine verloor net vyf mans, die Armeniërs 100 000 mans en die meeste ruiters.[2]
- In 'n Romeinse volkstelling het die aantal mans toegeneem tot 910 000.[3]
